Hello, I’m Iain Smith.
A software engineer, content creator, and wannabe designer.
Of course, there’s so much more to me than just a few titles. Scroll down and get to know me.
I like to call myself a software designer as I sit at the intersection of design and development. I enjoy it when you can feel that a piece of software has been designed elegantly, be that architecturally or visually.
I’m incredibly passionate about programming, design, and product development. I created this site to be an outlet for my learnings, thoughts, and ideas about mobile development in general. If you love mobile development, learning the best practices and want to see what I’m up to, you are in the right place.
I have been a mobile developer since 2007 when I first started to program iOS apps, yes that was before ARC and Autolayout. Since then, I have always been interested in building the best software possible and have continued this through my career as a mobile developer.
Besides blogging, I am a keen runner and enjoy learning new skills such as Design, Home Brewing, Blacksmithing, Woodturning, Drawing; the list is endless... I may even blog about these topics from time to time.
I hope you’ll find the content on this site helpful. You’re more than welcome to contact me if you have any questions or feedback about my work.
